DGE Sweden is pleased to welcome Jane Wågsäter as Senior Sustainability Advisor and Service Area Manager for Strategic Services. Based in Kalmar, Jane brings more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and environmental management across a wide range of sectors, including energy and waste, banking and finance, the public sector, and consulting.
Jane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and has worked in numerous roles throughout her career, from sustainability consultant and sustainability manager to strategist, business developer and team leader. This broad background gives her a strong understanding of how sustainability can be integrated into organisations at both strategic and operational levels.
At DGE, Jane’s core focus areas include sustainability management and advisory, climate change and climate adaptation, business development, and sustainability reporting, including GRI, CSRD and VSME. She is also actively involved in ISO 14001 education and audits, as well as advisory work related to social responsibility, human rights and the UN Global Compact.
Jane is particularly passionate about sustainability reporting and climate-related topics, and she is keen to further deepen her expertise in biodiversity, an area she sees as increasingly critical for organisations. In addition, she highlights the importance of behavioural change, emphasising that long-term sustainability cannot be achieved through technology alone, but also requires changes in everyday decision-making and organisational structures.
In her role, Jane supports clients through strategic consultation, project management, workshops and trainings, and as a change leader and sounding board for organisations looking to strengthen and future-proof their sustainability work. She looks forward to helping clients take the next steps in their sustainability journeys and to contributing to the continued development of DGE’s strategic services in Sweden.
